All monitors display colors and images differently - some dramatically. It is difficult to make a purchase decision when an image is too light or dark, too red or blue. You should be able to see 8 distinct shades of gray and 8 distinct colors in the two bars below. While far from foolproof, this may help you adjust your monitor to see a truer image of the printed piece.
